Produced Water

Produced water is typically created as a byproduct, and generally contains a wide variety of contaminants, including oil and suspended solids. It contains salt in most cases, and can also hold various metals, such as iron, zinc, and lead.

Crude Oil

Crude oil is unrefined oil that has not been turned into a product like gasoline or diesel. It is recovered through drilling and is found between a layer of natural gas, which is less dense, and salt water, which is denser. It can be anywhere from bright yellow to black.

Waste Oil

Waste oil has been contaminated and is no longer usable for its original purposeā€”it therefore needs to be disposed of. As a hazardous waste, it is important to ensure that it is handled properly so as to minimize the impact on humans and/or the environment.

Condensate is a light hydrocarbon that is separated from the raw natural gas during processing. It is sometimes mixed into heavy oil to dilute it and allow it to be transported more easily.

Drilling Fluid

Drilling fluid is added to help penetrate the ground during the drilling process. It can be water or oil-based, and serves various purposes: it provides hydro-static pressure, helps maintain a clean drill bit, and suspends drill cuttings. It will typically be refused by landfills, highlighting the need for proper and responsible transportation and disposal.

The transportation of liquid nitrogen is typically heavily regulated and requires special equipment. Like some of the other materials we handle, it should not be hauled except by experienced professionals.

Liquid CO2 has a variety of industrial uses and is thus valuable in the right contexts, but it also requires specialized hauling equipment. Some of its most common applications include refrigeration, fire suppression, and pH balance.
